Título : Experiencia de vivir con la enfermedad del Parkinson

Resumen : Introducción: La Enfermedad de Parkinson (EP) se produce como consecuencia de la degeneración progresiva de las neuronas dopaminérgicas de la sustancia negra y la presencia de cuerpos de Lewy. Sus síntomas son tanto motores, como temblor en reposo, bradicinesia rigidez, como no motores, depresión, apatía, ansiedad, dolor. A día de hoy, no hay tratamiento curativo para la enfermedad, pero si para su sintomatología. Objetivo: Conocer en profundidad como es vivir con la EP, como perciben la pacientes, la relación con sus médicos, familia y amigos. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio cualitativo fenomenológico descriptivo a través de entrevistas semi-estructuradas. Participaron 10 pacientes diagnosticados con EP de la Asociación Parkinson Aragón. El análisis de los datos se llevó a cabo con el software Excel. Resultados: Cinco temas principales describen como es vivir con la EP: (a) Abordaje de la enfermedad contexto interno, (b) Abordaje de la enfermedad contexto externo, (c) Abordaje de la enfermedad y asociación del Parkinson, (d) Abordaje de la enfermedad y estudios de investigación, (e) Abordaje de la enfermedad y ámbito social. Los pacientes con EP viven con la incertidumbre de cómo vivirán el futuro. Un buen tratamiento y un buen entorno social, desempeñan un papel fundamental para convivir con la enfermedad. Conclusión: Conocer cómo los pacientes experimentan su vivencia con la enfermedad, y puede ser útil para valorar el tratamiento y el trato que reciben a nivel sanitario, familiar, además de emprender nuevos campos de investigación.
Descripción : Introduction: Parkinson's disease (PD) is the progressive degeneration of the dopaminergic neurons of the substantia nigra and the presence of Lewy bodies. Its symptoms are motor, tremor at rest, bradykinesia, rigidity, as non-motors, depression, apathy, anxiety, pain. To this day, there is no curative treatment for the disease, but for its symptomatology. Objective: The scope of this project is to undestand in depth how the patient live and perceive the EP, and the relationship with their doctors, family and friends. Methods: A descriptive phenomenological qualitative study was conducted through semi-structured interviews. 10 patients diagnosed with PD from the Parkinson Aragón Association participated. The analysis of the data was carried out with Excel software. Results: Five main themes describes what it is like to live with PD: (a) Approach of the disease internal context, (b) Approach of the disease external context, (c) Approach of the disease and association of Parkinson's, (d) Approach of the disease and research studies, (e) Approach of the disease and social environment. Patients with PD live with uncertainty about how they will live the future. A good treatment and a good social environment play a fundamental role in coping with the disease. Conclusion: It offers an overview of how the patients experience the disease, and can be useful to assess the treatment they need to receive by the health institutions and, family level, in addition to open new fields of research.
