Description: Introduction and objectives: In recent years, intelligent devices such as clocks or also known as smartwatch, are being used more and more in the health field as they allow the measurement of variables during the day and night. The aim of this study was to assess the duration, speed and heart rate during physical exercise in a patient with spastic paraparesis after a DNHS treatment and auto-electropuncture Methodology: A clinical case study was conducted for 8 weeks in a patient with spastic paraparesis, who received physiotherapeutic DNHS treatment once a week, in addition to electropuncture self-treatment. The patient practiced 4 types of physical activity/exercise: walking, cycling, water therapy and gym. Assessments were made of activity/exercise duration, speed and heart rate, when the patient was active/exercising. Spasticity was also assessed at the beginning and end of the study and an assessment of the clinical global impression scale was performed. In addition, a telephone interview was conducted from which relevant information was obtained. Results: The results show a 75% increase in the duration of physical exercise after DNHS treatment and auto-electropuncture. In addition, there was a slight increase in heart rate and speed. In relation to the patient's perception that was measured through the clinical global impression scale and a telephone interview, we observed subjective improvements after the physiotherapy treatment. Discussion/Conclusion: The application of invasive physiotherapeutic techniques such as DNHS can be effective in neurological patients, but in this study it has not been proven because there were no significant changes in the variables studied. On the contrary, the patient reports having experienced changes that allowed him to improve his daily life activities and physical practice.
