Description: The pandemic situation and the obligatory isolation caused by it has increased the health problems present in the classroom, such as stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and disruptive behaviours that affect the earliest stages of education. Many studies have shown that people with good emotional management and regulation achieve better results in education, a higher quality of life and fewer mental health problems. In order to improve the emotional well-being of pupils in this educational innovation project, an interdisciplinary Emotional Education programme has been developed in the subjects of Physical Education and Plastic, Visual and Audiovisual Education, which seeks to develop the following emotional competences in the 1st year of secondary school: emotional conscience, regulation and autonomy. This programme will be carried out simultaneously with the didactic programmes planned for this course using 15 minutes in each session. The methodology used for this project is an Inverted Classroom model called MicroFlipTeaching in which individual intermediate activities are used to connect the activity at home and the activity in class and in this way achieve peer-to-peer learning guided by the teachers. In the initial phase of the project, students learn the theory and then complete an "emotional diary" and differents group activities in which the following emotional sub-competences are fostered: learning emotional vocabulary and how to represent emotions graphically; identifying the emotions of others and their own; expressing their emotions; understanding the relationship between emotion and behaviour; acquiring skills to cope with their own emotions and improving their self-esteem. Two instruments will be used to evaluate the students, a hetero-evaluation rubric to be filled in by the teachers and a self-evaluation rubric to be filled in by the students. Finally, a sociogram and the Emotional Development Questionnaire for Secondary Education will be used to check the effectiveness of the programme.
