Abstract

El "Trivia challenge" es un recurso didáctico de implementación sencilla en Microsoft PowerPoint con el objetivo primario de aumentar el dinamismo de las clases magistrales de Física (asignatura obligatoria de primer curso en grados de ingeniería). Objetivos secundarios son fomentar la cercanía del profesor al estudiantado, y favorecer la colaboración entre alumnos. El "Trivia challenge" es un juego de preguntas y respuestas. Puede implementarse en una sola diapositiva de PowerPoint. Implementar el recurso en PowerPoint ofrece mucha flexibilidad al docente: se pueden añadir imágenes y vídeos; adaptar el tiempo del cronómetro; modificar la cantidad de opciones de respuesta, etc. Para que otros docentes puedan aplicarlo, en el presente trabajo se describe en detalle cómo implementar dicho recurso en PowerPoint.

Description

The "Trivia challenge" is a teaching resource that is easy to implement in Microsoft PowerPoint with the primary objective of increasing the dynamism of Physics lectures (compulsory first-year subject in engineering degrees). Secondary objectives are to encourage proximity to the student body and boost collaboration between students. The "Trivia challenge" is a game of questions and answers. It can be implemented on a single PowerPoint slide. Implementing the resource in PowerPoint offers a lot of flexibility to the teacher: images and videos can be added; adapt the stopwatch time; modify the number of answer options, etc. So that other teachers can apply it, this paper describes in detail how to implement this resource in PowerPoint.
