| Abstract: | En su primera «acción intelectual» —como él la hubiese llamado—, José Luis López Aranguren (1909-1996) trabajó sobre la obra de Eugenio d’Ors, atraído por el catolicismo contenido en ella. Pero pronto se alejaría del catolicismo orsiano para emprender la búsqueda de un «catolicismo existencial», bien arraigado en la vida concreta del cristiano, y animado igualmente por una labor intelectual de indagación y de búsqueda. |
| Description: | osé Luis Aranguren’s first «intellectual action» —as he himself would have called it— corresponds to his research into the work of Eugenio d’Ors, a Catholic philosopher to whom he felt initially attracted. However, he soon distanced itself from the thinking of D’Ors, of an aestheticizing and cultural nature, in search rather of an «existential Catholicism», deeply rooted in the concrete life of the Christian and moved by an intellectual labour of enquiry and personal exploration. |
